Centre for Offshore Renewable Energy (CEFORE) is a pioneering collaboration between PETRONAS and Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) to develop offshore renewable energy, featuring wind, floating solar, and wave technologies for a sustainable power future, serving as a research hub, talent development centre, and community benefit project for local fisheries and education.
Goals

- Provide training for future energy talents through Institute Petroleum PETRONAS (INSTEP) and UMT.
- Offer direct benefits to local communitoes, like renewable-powered cold storage for fisherfolk.

Location
Strategically situated off the coast of Pantai Tok Jembal, Terengganu. In essence, CEFORE is a cutting-edge pilot project demonstrating integrated offshore renewable energy solutions while fotering innovation, education, and community empowerment in Malaysia’s green energy future.
