28 April – 30 April 2026 | The Establishing an Interdisciplinary Academic Network for Safe Digital Transformation in the Marine Industry (SADIT-MAR) program was successfully conducted over three impactful days, bringing together academics, researchers, and industry partners in support of a safer and more sustainable digital transformation in the marine industry.
The program involved international participants from Yildiz Technical University (Turkiye), University College London (UK), and universidad de las Américas Puebla (Mexico), fostering global collaboration and interdisciplinary knowledge exchange.
Throughout the program, participants attended a courtesy visit to the Pro Vice Chancellor Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) and joined a series of educational and industrial visits to the Wave Current Flume Channel (WCFC) and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) laboratories UMT, INOS Gallery, CEFORE site, Institut Tekologi Petroleum PETRONAS (INSTEP), SAA Engineering & Marine (SAAEM), Kemaman Port, and Pulau Redang. The visits provided valuable insights into innovation, research, and industrial practices related to the marine and digital transformation sectors.
